In response to requests from our customers, we decided to share more content about the world of gemstones with you. Periodically, I will post here and through our social networks a curation of precious stones! I would love to hear your feedback at the end!

Like any good gem dealer, over time, we develop a certain attachment to some gems. In particular, I have aquamarine, a variety of beryl. And as a diver (an activity I also learned from my father), I am passionate about the sea and that's why the blue sea water makes me feel at home!

Today my inspiration came from a very rare gem: a square gem (or also known as a princess cut) of 13,51 cts. Being able to cut an aquamarine with this unique shade of blue and in this size is definitely a privilege! It is a stone without inclusions, cut by hand with a side of 15 mm. Can you imagine this rarity in a ring? What jewelry would you make with her?

 Curiosities about Aquamarine:

  • Aquamarine is a variety of mineral beryl and its colors vary from blue to slightly green.
  • It is the birthstone March.
  • Aquamarine comes from two Latin words: aqua, which means “water”, and marina, which means “from the sea”.
  • It is an excellent gift option for a 19th wedding anniversary.

In addition to this extremely rare specimen, when we talk about aquamarine, there are other shapes that are much desired by high jewelery. The oval and octagonal shape is always in demand for necklaces and bracelets. The drop shape is perfect in earrings of different sizes.

If you liked our curation of the day, help me by commenting on our insta post in which jewel would you like to see this ARTOURO gemstone!

Is it hard to choose? Have you fallen so in love with aquamarine and want to have more jewelry options with this classic gem? I understand you! see the team of earrings, pendants and rings with aquamarine that I made for you.
