2022 started with a lot of hustle around here and especially the month of February was a month with a lot of news. I will share them all with you in this post!

GJX Gem & Jewelry Experience 2022

We participated in the largest gem fair in the world, the GJX Gem & Jewelry Experience 2022! This fair takes place annually in the city of Tucson, Arizona, in the United States and has already become the world's largest event in the production chain. This event is very important as it sets trends and was the first big event after the start of the pandemic!

This year in particular, the highlight was the blue tourmalines, also known as indicolites and paraíba tourmalines. I spoke about this point in a live to David Brough

Amethysts were also not left out, which was already expected, since the color of the year 2022 chosen by PANTONE was Very Peri. We have already addressed this topic in this post. I made a special selection of very peri jewelry to share with you.

We also noticed a very heated market, jewelry is on the rise and is seen as a refuge for our pandemic lives in recent months. And of course, the digital experience counts for a lot. Amidst lockdowns and travel restrictions, many of us turn to jewelry – an eternal pleasure that reserves values, provides experience, eternalizes emotions and even serves as an investment.

Customers are looking for vibrant colors and jewelry should be personal and fun. Brazilian gemstones have as their main characteristic the diversity and intensity of colors, which pressures the demand for tourmalines in general, since tourmaline is by far the stone with the greatest diversity of colors. We have green, pink, blue, neon, yellow, black tourmalines…

Individuals want to invest in gemstones

We also noticed a considerable increase in demand from individuals (end consumers) for direct investment in precious stones, in view of the still somewhat unstable world economic scenario. Investing in precious stones has always been a prosperous business, but like any other there are risks and it requires technical knowledge.
