Colors are everywhere. They create impressions and give color to everything we see. When someone dresses in a color we like, their image lights up. Something similar happens the moment we enter an environment whose color combination is harmonic and pleasant.

Chromotherapy, a technique that has already been recognized by the WHO (World Health Organization) is a science that uses the energetic action of colors as a therapeutic method.

This means that the luminous frequency of colors are used so that we are able to find balance and physical and emotional well-being.

You may have noticed by now that some colors are nicer than others. This sensation is, of course, very particular. However, it is not difficult to identify that environments in light tones bring greater lightness, while darker tones in certain places give the feeling of a heavier or darker climate.

It is no coincidence that doctors' offices tend to be lighter, while nightclubs or bars opt for tones that match the night look.

How does the healing process happen in chromotherapy?

Chromotherapy seeks to provide the alignment of the Chakras (energy points) that we have in our body, and that are related to certain colors, mitigating sensations such as sadness and providing greater resistance to fear.

Exposure to certain colors, either with the adoption of the chromotherapy technique or carrying colored stones wherever you go, it can cause relief from various symptoms, such as physical fatigue, blood circulation and even sleep quality.

BLUE

This color relates to the throat chakra, also called the throat chakra, and relates to peace and tranquility. Blue can be used by those who have difficulty speaking in public. One idea is to use a pendant in the region or even a scarf to soothe the throat area. The color is also widely used in bedrooms, especially when the person has trouble sleeping.

Red

Root chakra or base chakra, red is known as the color of passion. And in fact it has a lot to do, not only with passion, but also with sexuality. Color tends to increase blood pressure and, consequently, circulation. Because it causes some agitation, it is better to avoid it in regions such as the bedroom, or even in the clothing of hyperactive children.

Violeta

Crown chakra or coronal chakra. The high frequency of the violet color makes it able to travel through all the cells of the body, being especially used for people with serious illnesses, such as cancer. Violet usually activates varied feelings, such as anger, heartache and other sensations that are accumulated and are almost not released. In chromotherapy, it is used sparingly.

Yellow

Yellow is associated with the solar plexus chakra and, of course, has everything to do with the sun and its energy. It is the color of creativity, power and hustle. It is widely used to treat people who are more shy and who have difficulty letting their emotions flow.

Orange

Orange is the sacral or sexual chakra. Because it's a mix of yellow and red, you can imagine that orange has to do with relationships, but also with creativity and agitation. It's a great color for those who would like to meet new people and fall in love, as it provides greater self-esteem and security.

Green

It is the heart chakra or cardiac chakra. This color is one of the first that is recognized by the human retina. It is the color of hope, it is associated with love and the cure of diseases. Ideal for those who need a boost for the immune system, as its frequency will reach the thymus gland (T lymphocyte) and increase your immunity.
